You can't even see the gap because when I finally took a look at the wiggly tooth, it was just minutes from falling out AND the permanent tooth was "nicely" grown in right behind it!
Keith pulled it out for him. It always cracks me up to watch the expression on the newly toothless kid when Daddy pulls out a tooth. Konner was no different. He stood there in shocked surprise, "It's out? It didn't even hurt!"
Later, I told Keith with a little sniff, "Do you realize that this may be our last first tooth?"
He told me that I think WAY too much about stuff like that. Translation: He can't handle the fact that the kids are growing up anymore than I can.

I know milestones are always big to cross the last time.
In just a few days, I will be crossing the first milestone of one of my babies moving out!!! I am sure he is totally excited!
Me? A little of sadness, joy, and excitement for him!
I'm refusing to think about kids actually being gone from their childhood home . . . Then again, it's what I've been working towards all this time. Not to get rid of them, mind you, but to see that they grow up into people who honor God.
