I'm generally a pretty laid back type of person. I don't like a lot of drama. I certainly don't like people to be upset or hurt or lost. An ideal day would be to lay around on a comfy couch on a nice quiet day watching TV, reading a book, crocheting, while munching on a hamburger and fries.
The last three weeks have been non-stop zaniness. The state of my laundry room attests to the zaniness. I'm hoping that by tomorrow some of the family will at least have clean underwear and maybe a few clothes to wear.
Two weeks ago: My 19th wedding anniversary, mail box got plowed over, three kids sent to camp, Keith's birthday, Kylie's birthday and a unplanned trip two-day trip to California to visit Grandma in ICU.
One week ago: Mailbox still plowed over, Keri Lynn goes to Florida Keys for an eight day mission trip and falls and hits her head on the first night, I fly to Miami to be with her in the hospital, we fly back Friday.
This week: Mailbox still plowed over but at last removed, I set up meetings with guidance counselors, go to three school open houses for four kids, and (so far) host two of three sets of house guests -- all in this one week, come down with some kind of eye problem (probably conjunctivitis?), go to doctor and try to wear sunglasses whenever I talk to people because I look like a zombie mom.
I'm tired. And my eyes are really itchy.
Time to go to bed!

Whew! I was worried when you hadn't posted that maybe Keri Lynn was still hurt!
Just remember that this too shall pass! I'm being hit left and right right now, and I'm tired and sick in the heart with some of it, but good things are happening too. One day I won't have these trials.
Sleep, sleep and more sleep. Close your eyes...kids will survive wearing clothes *slightly* unclean, and the mailman can bring the mail to the door.
Glad to hear that Keri Lynn better.
Sounds like summer 2007 has been one for the memory books!!
