1) My faith in God defines me.
2) I've been married to the same man for 20 years, and couldn't imagine being married to anyone else.
3) I have seven children, but I don't usually volunteer that information to people I have just met because of the comments that follow: "Wow, you must be very patient." "I don't know how you do it. I can't do it with my two." Or "Have you seen Jon and Kate Plus 8 or the Duggers?"
4) I was born in Guatemala to a missionary family, grew up in Central America and then when I was eight my family moved back to the States.
5) I lived in Southern California up until four years ago. The move to Georgia was a HUGE change for our family, but we really love the house and the neighborhood and our church.
6) I hate to call people on the telephone. People rarely hear from me by phone and if they do, they usually immediately think something is wrong.
7) I've never gotten a ticket. Keith, on the other hand . . .
8) After 16 years as a SAHM, I had to go back to work to help with our family income. It was either that or lose the house. If I had a choice, I'd be home again in a flash.
9) Nonetheless, the idea of becoming a special ed. teacher is exciting to me, and that's what I'm hoping to do by next fall.
10) I'm just a "little" self-absorbed. I could spend hours on my blog http:/familydaze.blogspot.com and facebook writing about myself and my family happenings. (Oh, right, I already do.)
11) I have been working on a novel for the last three years. I'm got it maybe 5% done, but it keeps my mind occupied while I'm taking a shower, blow-drying my hair, sitting at a red light, etc.
12) I love a good book and a good movie. I usually hate movies based on good books. (Like the Bourne movies -- urgh!)
13) I'm kind of a frustrated artist. I have a bunch of art books on my shelf and every once in a while I'll pull one out and try to sketch portraits.
14) I am so proud of my kids. They are amazing people that just get better and better as they grow. For all of you people with young children out there, don't believe the teenager myth. They don't have to be like that!
15) I hate housework. I'm basically lazy. Laundry is my arch enemy.
16) If I could choose the perfect vacation, I'd choose to go away with just Keith to a fancy hotel with good cable, eat out every meal, go see a movie every day, and have lots of great books on hand to read. I wouldn't matter where the hotel was.
17) It hurts to be 43.
18) I absolutely adore studying the Bible.
19) I also adore debating the Bible.
20) I am both a procrastinator and a perfectionist. Go figure.
21) I am blessed by some wonderful loyal friends, but I wish I had closer friends here in Georgia, too.
22) I love to crochet while I watch TV. I taught myself to crochet in the first years of marriage.
23) I have trouble paying bills and turning in library books on time.
24) I hate to be wrong, but my husband loves me anyway.
25) I have a can of cola in the morning instead of coffee. One can a day, that's all I ask!

LOL Great list!
I didn't realize that we've been married close to the same amount of time as well as having 7 kids. We hit 20 in a couple of months.
1. I am thrilled that I am a child of God and that one day I will be caught up in the air to meet him!
2. I am in love with two girls- my beautiful wife Jessica and my brand new daughter Danica.
3. My favorite verse in the Bible: For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. A close second Isaiah 53.
4. I love my job!! Being a teacher is the most wonderful job in the world. Teaching 5 year olds can be difficult, but it is so rewarding!
5. I love bicycling! Living near the beach and being able to get on a bike and exercise is so much fun!
6. I have been married for 4 1/2 years to my best friend and she is the best thing that ever happened to me.
7. My new born baby is so beautiful!
8. I love to go surfing, even though I don't have the time to ever do it.
9. My favorite beverage is Cherry Cola.
10. My favorite condiment is mustard, it goes great with so many things.
11. I love Christian rock music- my favorite band is Mercy Me.
12. I love chocolate!
13. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother.
14. I was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. My mom and dad were both missionaries.
15. I am proud of my family even though they make me cringe at times.
16. I use to ride a motorcycle, it was so much fun! Now I can't because my wife loves me.
17. I work for the second largest school district in the world- LAUSD!
18. If I had to have one meal before I die, it would be a shrimp cocktail (with lemon), prime rib (16oz.) , lobster tail, french fries, cherry coke, and I guess a salad to make it healthy.
19. My mom makes delicious rolls!
20. My favorite color is green and my favorite number is 7 (in the Bible it has a lot of significance).
21. I love Mexican Food!
22. My new favorite TV show is Monk.
23. I miss the 80's.
24. My favorite Book is the Bible, the most recent book that I read was "Night," by Eli Wiesel. It is a great read.

Sounds to me that you might be just a little teeny bit happy with your life! And that makes me very happy, too.
OK, Jackie and Danny - your lists are tremendous and I love you for all your comments and it makes my heart sing for joy when you are so explicit about your faith. Here's my list:
1. Jesus Christ is King of my life and me and my house "we will serve the Lord".
2. Years ago I was not always close to Jesus, but I found out that the the one way to stay close to the Father is to be in the Word on a daily basis.
3. Sharing Jesus gives joy.
4. My husband, Rich, is the best. He knows how to communicate and I love that.
5. I have 13 grandchildren and 5 children.
6. I started working when I was 16 and was laid off two months ago - first time in 50 years that I have my "out of jail card". It's wonderful.
7. I love sunsets and sunrises
8. I love rain and the sun as it shines through the clouds
9. I love to go to church
10. I love my family.
11. Making our bed in the mornings is good for me - makes me happy to see it all nice and cleaned up later on, love to go upstairs and see it all cleaned up
12. I make salads during the day, leaving the hardest part of dinner til 4PM
13. I love Jalipenos and just found out how to make Pollo Inca green sauce.
14. After the dishes are done I enjoy watching TV.
15. I have a quiet time in the morning, praying on my knees in front of my prayer chair.
16. I love sitting in church with my husband.
17. My mother is 92. Every morning she asks, "is this the crowning day?"
18. My favorite color is yellow
19. My new favorite Bible book is John and my new favorite Bible verses are Isaiah 58:6-9
20. I hate exercise but have plans to get going and do it -
21. I've learned to be careful of belly fat for it brings on diabetis.
22. We have a kitty, Dora, who mostly loves Rich, but tolerates me. I know what they mean when they say that it's "as hard as herding cats".
23. I still count my kids at night.
24. God is good, heaven is nearer and EVERYTHING HE does is good. Heaven is sweeter as the days go by and people we love go there!!!
